Bio

I'm updating my biography on 100 Days but I kind of want to save the old one I had so  that's what this is. Nothing special in the least.

Hello! I am Jasmine Y. Pinales, and this is my life you're reading.

September 13, 2011

Hello, this is a new greeting from 2011. The information is pretty much the same and I'm sure long time readers have noticed the change from small predominately single panel black and white affairs to larger multi-panel greyscale affairs. Well, it's supposed to be greyscale but I question this monitor and scanner I've been using.

This is all still a solo endeavour and I often wish I had someone to help with bordering my comics or basic inking, but I can't pay anyone so it's a one woman project, which is kind of more awesome. I'm still terrified of this continuing and where it will go, but I am proud of every page even if after the 2 hour mark I start hating it. I do break up the work sessions between penciling, inking and greyscale but it's still quite time consuming. I am cursing my lack of motivation during the summer, but when the comics get to September 9 I will be proud of them still.

I am still quite interested in printing comics so we'll see what happens with that and when that will be feesable, which I'm hoping happened before the end of the school year (so next May). Well then, I hope you still enjoy what you see here and the comics will be posted as on time as I can manage with my creative course load. Ciao!

(Original About, which is still pretty much valid)

As I'm sure you astute visitors have gathered, I am the only person who works on this comic. I pencil, ink, scan and clean up every page, fascinating isn't it? I enjoy talking about movies, books, television and comics which happens both in comic and in the rant space. My big idea for this comic is for my to continue this project for 10 years, so at the end of this I have a ten year retrospective on one part of my year.

I decided that keeping this journal for a limited time will show different shifts in art, improvements and changes. But there is also time for things to change before the next year's worth of comics are started. Anything could happen, for all I know by 2020 I will be married, I'll have lost an arm, I'll be making money off of this, who knows. I plan on graduating from Old Dominion University soon, living life and have different experiences. I feel it will be interesting to see how things change over the decade. Different technology, different opportunities who knows what will happen.

I also think it will be interesting to see how I lived at the age of 21 when I started the comic compared to the 31 I'll be when it's all done. Looking back at the first 100 days I'm in awe of the things that I've gone through and the changes that have happened in my life thus far. I can only hope that my life will continue to change and I'll explore different cities during the comic. Other comics will come and go, but will will last a decade.

1000 Days, the ultimate conclusion of my comic, it's a daunting conclusion, but as off February 2011 I'm already 10% done. When I look back at what I've accomplished so far it seems so far away, but at the same time like it all only just happened. I hope you continue to enjoy reading about my life, my loves and my adventures. I look forward to seeing where I end up from all of this.

Thank you, have a great year :)

Jasmine P.
